Yes. You can have your current fax number forwarded to your GoFaxer number, this should not cost you anything. Please call your telephone company to have that number forwarded.

No. Your fax number acts like any toll-free number, so all faxes to you are free to the sender.

You may receive international faxes at no extra charge. At the moment, we do not have the capability to send international faxes.

Yes. Please put numbers in the format xxx-xxx-xxxx.

Any one of a number of things. You may have typed in a wrong number, or something else. Check in your "Sent" folder and look for any errors. If the error is "wrong number," one of the above is likely the problem. If it is something else, please contact us.

If your number is working (try sending yourself a test fax), that means there may be a problem with the caller's local or long distance phone carrier. If that is the case, the caller may have to use a dial-around (a 10-10 number or similar).

Your fax will come in as an attachment to your email. Click on the "attached file" text in your email reader (sometimes there will just be a paper clip), and your fax will appear as a PDF file. From there, select File -> Print, and print your fax.

Yes. With Gofaxer, there are no busy signals.

Most computers read PDF files as part of their operating system. If yours does not, you will need to download the Adobe Reader, which you can get here.

Word, Adobe PDF, gif, jpg, bmp, eps, to start. If you have another type of image file, it will probably work. If you're not sure, please ask us.

No. You probably already have Microsoft Word (and if you don't, we can fax any text file), and the Adobe Reader is free.

We try to do our best to block them. If a spam fax somehow gets through, we won't charge you if it goes over your page limit. Just let us know and we will adjust your account accordingly.

Yes. You can send up to five documents with each fax transmission; just attach the docs to your outgoing fax.

A subject line of "x page(s) fax from unknown" indicates that the sender of the fax did not have a CSID (Calling Station ID) set on their fax machine or fax service. Your Gofaxer number captures the sender's CSID and not their actual fax number; consequently, a sender generally cannot be identified, unless their CSID and fax number are the same.
